Quick question...would someone please explain to me what an appendix is, because I can't get the answer to that stinking question anywhere!!

An appendix is one of those organs kinda like tonsils that takes up space in our bodies but for some reason isn't needed and isn't noticed until it starts to act up and cause problems......kinda like boogers....you don't notice them until they get all crusty and hurt your nose. Then you need to dig em out.
