Pickn' up Poop

http://frogandprincess.files.wordpress.com/2009/06/no-dog-poop-zone-sign-thumb3238487.jpg

I cleaned up dog diaria at five o'clock this morning. Woke up to the sound of the dog whining, thinking she probably just needed to get outside to go pump out some doggy logs. Well....TOO LATE. The dog had already gone inside her crate/cage/bed thingy. Diaria was all over the bottom of the cage...doggy diaria literally covering the floor (of the crate, thankfully not the actual floor). And the smell? We've all smelled some form of poop, diaria, or puke here, right? Absolutely revolting...need I say more?
First, the dog. Paw prints made of you know what on the kitchen floor, but now I've got her in the direction of the back door. As soon as I get her outside, the prints show up all over the back porch/patio thing. SICK AND WRONG!! That's going to stink later on...*shudder*....
OK, got the dog outside. Now I need to try and get the crate out there too. While the crate is making plenty of noise getting out the door, I'm still trying to keep the stuff off of me. Ockey Dokey! Lets get that doggy scrubbed clean!!
I rinsed her off and that was just simply not enough. Used the shampoo on her and smelled much better after that. Thank goodness we actually had the dog shampoo around 'cause we just bairly got it last week! PHEW!!
K, now lets get this crate taken care of. Apparently, my Mother could smell the yuckiness from all the way upstairs, so she sent Taylor down to help me take care of it. He rinsed off the bottom of the crate while I swept the floor and filled a bucket of PineSol water to get ready for mopping. I brought the dish soap out to wash the crate bottom and the dog followed.

st tell ya', leaving anything the dog thinks is edible on the ground and Maddi (our dog) will lick it up. I left the
dish soap one the ground for probably less than a minute and she starts licking it! You'd think after eating the wrong things got her into this she would learn her lesson!
So then I got straight to mopping. Everything smelledProxy-Connection: keep-alive

ormal again. Eccept for maybe those paw prints outside...we'd better get those cleaned up soon before the sun comes out and starts baking them....THAT IS NOT going to smell very pretty....

*Note: Please excuse the little Proxy Connection thing going on there...I couldn't get it to go away :(

Emma you are amazing! I hope the soap doesn't cause any more of that problem. I read in a book (fiction novel) that honey can help with those loose stools. I'm not sure if it's true but it might be worth looking into.

Your header reminded me of growing up (I'm the oldest sibling in my family). Guess what it's still going the same now that I'm a mom. I'm glad that my parents taught me all that even though I still hate to do it.

Oh Misty you do have an angel because I have delt with and smelled just what sweet Emma is talking about.

Emma! You are a jewel. That is just plain NASTY! Poor girl. You get big points for cleaning something like that up!

Again, I say - a good dog is worth it. You just have to get past that baby-young dog stage, and your dog will get wiser. But I'm really proud of you for taking responsibility. WHY DID YOU MOVE? WE NEED PEOPLE LIKE YOU HERE!!! I NEEEEEEED YOU!!
